Kenneth Kobcsenski

Kenneth Kobcsenski, age 100, of Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on December 12, 2025. Born on December 4, 1925, in Wallington, New Jersey, Kenneth was the beloved son of the late Phillip Kobcsenski and Elizabeth (née Gall). He was raised in Wallington and, in 1954, made his home in Hasbrouck Heights, where he and his wife raised their children and made lifelong friends. A proud patriot, Kenneth honorably served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. His service was a source of lifelong pride and reflected his deep sense of duty, resilience, and love for his country. Kenneth was a dedicated and hardworking man. He was an owner and operator of the family business in Wallington. Known for his strong work ethic, honesty, and friendly demeanor, he built lasting relationships with customers and members of the community. He was respected not only as a businessman, but as a man of integrity. In his free time, Kenneth found joy working with his hands. He loved carpentry and woodworking, taking pride in creating and fixing things with care and precision. An avid traveler, he especially enjoyed driving cross-country with his wife of 77 years, exploring the beauty of the United States. They visited every state except North Dakota and Minnesota. Those journeys were a reflection of his adventurous spirit and lifelong curiosity. Kenneth was the devoted husband of Gladys Kobcsenski (née Potrzeba), with whom he shared a loving marriage. He was a cherished father to Linda Kobcsenski, Deborah Stenten and her husband Ronald, and the late Donna Gillespie. He was a proud grandfather to Stephanie, Jennifer, and Ryan, and a loving great-grandfather to Tyler. He is also survived by his brother Phillip Kobcsenski, his sister Kathleen Stach and her husband Joseph, and many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Evelyn Sandlin and her husband Joseph (Sandy), who served in the Navy with Kenneth. Kenneth will be remembered for his kindness, quiet strength, dedication to family, and the meaningful life he built through hard work and love. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him and were fortunate enough to share in his remarkable journey. A private cremation took place at East Ridgelawn Crematory in Clifton, NJ.
