Laura Jessica Chirichella

Laura Jessica Chirichella, 35, of Moonachie, passed on Friday, September 13, 2024. Laura was born in Hackensack and spent her childhood in East Rutherford. She attended St. Joseph School in East Rutherford and secured a well-deserved high school education, attending the Law and Justice program at Bergen County Technical High School in Teterboro due to her intelligence. Once Laura graduated from high school, she attended William Paterson University and graduated with a BA in Sociology. When she left her childhood home, Laura lived in Wallington, Rutherford, then Moonachie. Laura started her working career at a distribution center of office and cleaning supply company, then moved on to her current position as a trucking company dispatcher for CR Express in Carlstadt. She was baptized at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church R.C Church in Wallington and made her first Holy Communion and Confirmation at St. Joseph Church in East Rutherford. Laura enjoyed bowling, softball, baseball, and soccer, and enjoyed cheering for the New York Rangers NHL team, New York Yankees MLB team, and the San Francisco 49ers NFL team. Laura was a big animal lover, especially her first Westie dog Eddie, as well as her cats Sampson and Megatron, and current Westie Teddy. She crafted her own greeting cards by hand with pride and heartfelt words to those she loved. She enjoyed classic rock as well as current rock music and had an early interest in playing the drums. As a child, Laura participated in Dance Theatre Workshop recitals. She was a member of the Future Musicians All State Symphonic Band in 2001. Laura was the beloved daughter of Steven R. and Donna M. Chirichella (nee Banas), loving sister of Sarah Emily Chirichella, dear granddaughter of the late Gerard and Anne Chirichella and Eugene and Barbara Banas, fiance of Anthony Salernitano, niece of Robert Banas and his wife, Georgianna, Diane Polito and her husband, Robert, Gerald Chirichella and his wife, Ana, and the late Richard T. Chirichella, cousin of Robert Banas and his daughter Bree, Alex and Tricia Banas and their children Madeline and Alex, Melissa Saldana and her husband, David and their children, Alex, Nicholas and Natalie, and Jason Chirichella and his wife, Lisa and their children, Emily, Jason and Joseph.
