Lidia Jastrzebska

Lidia Jastrzebska, 92, of Cedar Grove, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on June 7, 1934, in Jeziorko, Poland, Lidia was the cherished daughter of the late Wladyslaw Lupicki and the late Waleria (Kogut) Lupicka. She spent her early years in Jeziorko before moving to Lublin, Poland, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering. In 1957, she married the love of her life, the late Dr. Szymon Tadeusz Jastrzebski, with whom she shared many happy years of marriage. In 1998, Lidia immigrated to the United States. She first made her home in Wallington, later lived in Totowa, and eventually settled in Cedar Grove, where she spent her later years. She was a devoted parishioner of Most Sacred Heart of Jesus R.C. Church in Wallington. Lidia was a woman of many interests and simple joys. She was an avid reader who always appreciated a good book, enjoyed gardening, and loved shopping. She especially looked forward to trips to Atlantic City, where she enjoyed visiting the casinos. Above all else, Lidia treasured the time she spent with her family. Her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whose lives were enriched by her love, wisdom, and gentle presence. She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Szymon Tadeusz Jastrzebski. Lidia is survived by her loving daughters, Iwona Jazienicka and her husband, Mieczyslaw; and Barbara Rajski and her husband, John. She was the proud and devoted grandmother of Agnieszka Puzio and her husband, Edward; Valerie Sobers and her husband, Stephen; and John Rajski, Jr. and his wife, Michelle. She was also the cherished great-grandmother of Evelyn and Harrison Sobers, and Vivian and Leon Rajski. She was predeceased by her brothers, Kazimierz Sabat and Zbigniew Lupicki, and is survived by her sisters-in-law, Stefania Sabat, wife of the late Kazimierz Sabat, and Emilia Lupicka, wife of the late Zbigniew Lupicki. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Lidia's kindness, quiet strength, unwavering devotion to her family, and warm heart will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
