Brittany Monet Quest, 32, of Garfield, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. Brittany was born in Mt. Vernon, NY, and spent most of her youth split between Yonkers, NY, and Mt. Vernon, NY. She later moved to New Jersey and lived in various cities such as Newark, East Orange, and Garfield. Brittany attended schools in every city she lived in. She completed her GED program and it was the beginning of a fulfilling path toward higher education. Brittany was passionate about the nursing field and enjoyed making people feel safe in her security positions. She believed in putting love and care at the top of her work ethics list. Brittany was introduced to religious beliefs by her grandparents. Growing up she frequently visited church with her family and friends with rooted Christianity beliefs from her grandma Elizabeth. As an adult, she widened her spiritual beliefs while discovering and understanding all the greater meanings of life. She had a gift for helping people with their downfalls. She was passionate about nursing and wanted to follow along the path of her grandmother Piggy, who was the first black nurse in New Rochelle, NY. Brittany loved visiting her hometown of Yonkers, NY, and enjoyed laughing and dancing around with her aunts. When Brittany became a mother, her #1 interest was in being the best mother for Gianna that she could possibly be. Brittany was the beloved daughter of Cheryl Martin and Thomas Quest, step-daughter of Jabbar Martin, loving mother of Gianna Littlejohn, cherished goddaughter of Lena Jones, granddaughter of Elizabeth Lurry, and the late Piggy Norraine Quest, and Roosevelt Lurry, niece of Miriam Lurry, Corine Lurry-Mabin, Steven Lurry, Carolyn Lurry-Yancey, Joanna Lurry, Judith Lurry, and the late Phillip Lurry, girlfriend of Ishmael Stevenson, special friend of Nita Shaw, Melody Gray and Latasha Roberts, and godsister of Genaya Harney
