Emilia Barbara Pietras Majewski
February 5, 1921 - February 14, 2015
Emilia Barbara Pietras Majewski, 94, of East Rutherford, passed away Valentine's Day, Saturday, February 14, 2015. She was born in Wallington on February 5, 1921, and lived there for 25 years before moving to East Rutherford 68 years ago. Prior to her retirement, she was a packaging inspector for Hoffman LaRoche in Nutley for 15 years, and was a member of the Roche Retirees Club. She was a parishioner of Most Sacred Heart of Jesus R.C. Church in Wallington, and was a member of the Wallington Veterans of Foreign Wars, Pavlick Koster Post 2640, Ladies Auxiliary. Emilia loved people, most of all her family. Everyone loved her in return for her personality, love, friendship, and generosity. She loved to cook, and entertain company. Because of all her attributes, she was truly referred to as "one of a kind" and was better known as "Millie" or "Aunt Millie". Emilia was the beloved wife of the late Walter Majewski, Sr., devoted mother of Walter Majewski, Jr., of Fairfield, loving grandmother of Keith Majewski, and his wife Tiffany, Lori Majewski, and great-grandchildren Kayleigh and Payton Majewski, and dear sister of the late Emil, Henry, Joseph, and Thomas Pietras, and Helen Praslicka, and sister-in-law of Ceil and Ella Pietras. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 20 Mercer Street, Hackensack, N.J. 07601, in memory of Emilia B. Majewski, would be appreciated.
