Katherine Geffert Soltis, 95, of Garfield, passed away Thursday, July 6th, 2017. Born in Smoke Run, PA. she lived in Passaic before moving to Garfield 62 years ago. She was a Supervisor for Electro Scan in Garfield for 30 years retiring in 1991. Previously she worked for Apex Electronics in Passaic. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Virgin R.C. Church in Garfield, and a former parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church in Garfield, She was also a member of the Garfield Senior Citizens. Katherine was the beloved wife of the late John J. Soltis, devoted mother of William Botach of Lake Placid, FL., Sandra Mania, and her husband Gerard, of Lake Hiawatha, and the late Gerald Soltis, loving grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, dear sister of Julia Sowden of Ling Island, NY, and was predeceased by 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
