Mark Daniel Wisz Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mark Daniel Wisz, 38, a life-long resident of Garfield, NJ, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020. Mark was a member of the Preakness Valley United Reformed Church in Wayne and a past member of the Garfield Lodge No. 2267. His passions in life included cheering for the New York Yankees, singing, and listening to music. Mark was the beloved son of Gerald Michael and Elizabeth Anne (Schroeder) Wisz, of Garfield, NJ, dear brother of Melissa Mastrorilli and her husband, Matthew, of Sea Girt, NJ; Justin Wisz, of New York, NY; Amanda Keener and her husband, Justin, of Littleton, CO; Meredith Judge and her husband, Kevin, of Palmyra, PA; Alexander Wisz and his wife, Elizabeth, of Fort Washington, PA; Gwendolyn Wisz Smedley and her husband, Patric, of Manheim, PA; and Zachary Wisz, of Garfield, NJ. He was the loving uncle of Alexa, Samantha, and Christopher Mastrorilli; Eleanoire, Quinn, and Emery Judge; and Jonathan Keener and will be greatly missed by his many loving aunts and uncles. Mark had a contagious smile and sense of humor that couldn't be outshined amidst the most boisterous of family gatherings. He had a penchant for ridiculous made-up songs, family nicknames, and inside jokes with his brothers. He had an ear for music and seemed to know the name and lyrics of every song. When he was younger, he'd unexpectedly burst into tears when he heard certain instrumental music. He was also sensitive to the people around him and would ask others how they were doing before talking about himself. Mark knew what he liked, whether it was good food, good beer, a good party, a dip in the pool, or a day spent with family. Our family was blessed to have Mark in it, and he will be sorely missed until we are all together again.
