Mildred Kobylarz

September 8, 1921 - January 2, 2019

Mildred (Dyt) Kobylarz, 97, of Garfield, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019. Mildred was born and raised in Passaic and moved to Garfield in 1942. She raised her three children while working at Manhattan Rubber in Passaic, then Garfield School #9 as a Crossing Guard and Cafeteria Worker. Mildred was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Kostka R.C. Church in Garfield, a member of the Garfield Rotary Club and Happy Stitchers Club in Saddle Brook. She was passionate about sewing and crocheting as well as solving jigsaw puzzles. She was the beloved wife, of 56 years, to the late retired Garfield Police Captain Henry Kobylarz, devoted mother of William Kobylarz, of Lavallette, and the late Bruce and Denise Kobylarz, loving grandmother of Geena Marie and Delores, dear great-grandmother of Mariana and sister of the late William Dyt. Mildred will be sadly missed by her friends, Nancy Kobylarz and Dolores and John Huntemann.
