Michael V. Dabal, 66, of Garfield, New Jersey September 1, 1959 – July 9, 2026 In loving memory of Michael V. Dabal (Mike or Mikey) Dabal, a devoted and beloved son to Jean Dabal, predeceased by his father, John S. Dabal, and his beloved brother, Ronnie Dabal. He is survived by his loving sister, Christine Dabal-Tweedale and her husband, David F. Tweedale; his loving brother, John Dabal “Jay” and his wife, Janice Dabal; his loving lifetime partner, Barbara Kreidel and her family. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephew, Kristin Tweedale, Lauren Tweedale, and John Dabal Jr., and his predeceased beloved nephew, James Dabal, “Jimmy.” You will always be remembered by those who truly knew you for your kind, loving, big heart and your generosity to anyone who needed a helping hand. Many of the children coming home from school would ride their bikes past the station and say, “Mr. Dabal, could you please fill our tires with air?” You just loved that. You will always be remembered for your passion for fishing, whether at Alder Lake, salmon fishing in Pulaski, New York, or those special times at your brother’s lake house. You so loved fishing in Seaside Park at the Jersey Shore. You will always be remembered for your love of being a mechanic and for your pride in your towing company at your family’s business for most of your life. The “Station” was our favorite meeting place. It was an exciting place to be. We would run into many friends and family. Everyone always had a story. Never a dull moment. We laughed so much. You were our “Special Auto Mechanic,” and a very gifted one at that. You were there for each and every one of us when we needed a car repair, and boy were there a lot of them over the years. You were your own person, no apologies, and we always knew where each other stood. The thought of not seeing you or hearing your voice is unimaginable. Our world just got a lot darker now that you’re no longer here with us. You have touched the lives of so many, and we are all so heartbroken. We don’t know how we will live without you. We will love you for an eternity. Michael’s cremated remains will be laid to rest at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Lodi, New Jersey, alongside his father and brother. His beloved mother, Jean, who is 101 years old, continues to hold him forever in her heart.
