Robert Frank Good

Robert “Bob” Frank Good, 69, of East Rutherford, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2026. Born on September 11, 1956, in Dover, NJ, Bob was the beloved son of the late Frank Good and Helen (Sadej) Good. Shortly after his birth, his family moved to East Rutherford, where Bob remained a lifelong resident and proud member of the community. Bob was a devoted husband to his wife, Jill (Toth) Good, and a loving, deeply involved father and grandfather. He is survived by his children: Vincent Good and his wife Holly, Bryan Good, Nicole Good and her fiancé James “Jerkyboy” Dugan, Ashley Good and her fiancé Peter Robaina, and Jesse John Good. Bob was a proud grandfather to Noah, Justin, Willem, Amelia, and JJ, whom he affectionately called his “buddies,” along with his cherished grand-dogs. He is also survived by his siblings, Richard and Teresa, and was predeceased by the aunts he adored and often spoke of with love, Auntie and Aunt Josie. A hardworking man his entire life, Bob was a skilled truck mechanic who spent 15 years with Tran-Service Corporation in Totowa, NJ. Known for his strong work ethic and the pride he took in working with his hands, Bob retired in 2025 after decades of dedication to his craft. Cars were more than a job to him—they were a lifelong passion. He loved talking about them, fixing them, and attending car shows whenever he could. Outside of work, Bob found joy in woodworking, fishing, and projects around the house, always happiest when he was building, fixing, or tinkering. He had beautiful blue eyes—something he liked to point out himself—and a playful sense of humor that made him unforgettable. A natural storyteller and lifelong jokester, Bob had a way of spinning dramatic (and often completely made-up) stories, all with the goal of making people laugh or lifting someone out of a bad mood. That was his gift—to bring lightness, laughter, and warmth wherever he went. Bob was a fan of classic black-and-white television, especially westerns like Bonanza and The Rifleman, but Gunsmoke was his favorite. Whether he was telling a story, working on an engine, or spending time with his grandchildren, Bob lived life with heart, humor, and an unmistakable love for his family. He will be remembered for his kindness, his craftsmanship, his laughter, and the way he made everyone around him feel just a little bit better. Bob will be deeply missed and forever loved. Following visitation, cremation will take place.
